Climate funds face a unique positioning challenge. They must demonstrate environmental impact while simultaneously meeting strict financial expectations from investors. Emphasizing only mission weakens credibility; emphasizing only returns weakens differentiation.
This project focused on building a complete investor presentation for a decarbonization-focused investment vehicle targeting next-generation climate and energy technologies.

Clarifying the fund thesis
The first priority was defining the core investment thesis in a way that balanced purpose and performance. The fund targeted scalable climate technologies capable of delivering strong returns while contributing to emissions reduction and energy transition.
The deck positioned the fund not as an abstract sustainability vehicle but as a disciplined investment platform focused on high-potential sectors and measurable outcomes.
Building the structural narrative
The presentation was organized around:
- mission and market context
- investment strategy and selection criteria
- deal sourcing and partnerships
- portfolio construction approach
- return expectations and timelines
- follow-on and scaling strategy
This structure allows investors to evaluate the fund using familiar financial frameworks while still understanding its climate focus.
Visual direction
The visual system avoided overly “green” or activist aesthetics. Instead, it used a clean institutional palette combining deep blues with controlled accent colors to communicate professionalism and long-term stability. Layouts were spacious, data-driven, and structured to resemble institutional investment materials rather than startup decks.
Result
The final deck supports:
- LP fundraising
- strategic partnerships
- investor presentations
- internal alignment
A well-structured fund deck must function as both narrative and financial document. This one was built to do both.
